IDFA introduces Entry Fee

The International Documentary Festival Amsterdam (IDFA) has introduced the entry fee of €30 plus VAT for films that want to be part of the 25th edition of the festival scheduled to take place from the 14th to the 25th of November 2012. However this fee will be waived for films that will be submitted before the 18th of June 2012.

IDFA has sighted the increase in administrative costs as the main reason for introducing the entry fee which the organisers say will cover the processing and viewing of the film that is submitted. The entry fee is non refundable.

Submissions can be made by completing the IDFA 2012 online entry form together with the two DVDs of the film submitted. To access the form and submit a film, filmmakers need a MyIDFA account.
