Beyond Borders is a concerted training programme for creative producers from Europe and Africa including the Maghreb on an equal footing and in a spirit of mutual benefit. It is an initiative between the Huston School of Film & Digital Media (Galway, Ireland) and Sud Ecriture (Tunisia), in partnership with European Audio Visual Entrepreneurs (Luxemburg), Imagine (Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso) and the CNC (National Centre of Cinematography – France).
Beyond Borders aims to support participants in developing a better understanding of a fast-changing market, strengthening the long-term production structures in their countries, creating new opportunities for exchange between European and African professionals as well as highlighting the role of international co-production.
Ten producers, five from Africa ( including the Maghreb) and five from Europe who are developing a feature film project or a creative documentary and who wish to work on an international scale and to create long-term creative and business networks will be selected to take part in an eight to ten day workshop in Tunisia (end of June, beginning of July) and will work with leading international industry experts.
Producers can apply online on Beyond Borders website.
