Imran Hamdulay

 

Imran Hamdulay is a Cape Town based Writer, Director & Producer. A Berlinale Talents alumni, he has produced & directed numerous projects in film & commercials. His debut feature film, Of Virtue, is currently in development with the National Film & Video Foundation of South Africa and will be produced by David Horler and Proper Film. He recently completed two locally & internationally funded short films - ‘Fatima’ & ‘Brother’ - in collaboration with Black Crow Films & Red Kimono Media UK, with both films having begun a 2018 festival run. He is currently the Directing lecturer at City Varsity School of Media & Creative Arts.
 
Imran is a cinephile with a vast knowledge of film history and theory. He is committed to unearthing and supporting unique and provocative South African stories that will propel a new wave of African cinema.
