Jonty Acton

45-year-old Jonty Acton is a graduate of the London Film School.  He has written, produced and directed 6 short films and his debut feature as writer/director, The 13th Sign, premiered at Leicester Squares Prince Charles Cinema in 2000. It has been released and distributed in the US, Canada and Europe. Jonty has developed several feature screenplays and based on these been selected for the Channel 4 writers workshop (1998), the Sithengi Writers Forum (2004) and the Sithengi Talent Campus (2005). His NGO short film Know Your Place which he wrote, produced and directed for YOUTH UNLIMITED was shortlisted for the M-Net TAG Awards and he created, wrote, produced and directed the 13-part Wildlife/Reality TV series Frontier Vets (2016) which has been sold to Spain, Greece, Thailand, several Scandinavian territories as well as throughout Africa and premiered on SABC 3 in 2016. A second season is now in development. His feature script Break In was selected for development funding by the NFVF in 2017 and will go into production in 2018.
