Michael Lee

Michael has directed numerous reality shows and documentaries in Africa, including as cocreator of the 4x SAFTA-winning Jam Sandwich and Executive Producer of Documentaries and Reality Programming for Abuja-based Gotel Africa. Michael began as a script reader for Castle Rock Pictures in Hollywood before moving to Prague, where he co- founded the literary magazine TRAFIKA. He was Treasurer of the DFA and SASFED, taught at AFDA, WITS, and NEMISA, and founded and created the curriculum of the Academy of Television, where he currently serves as Head of Industry Relations and Head of Storytelling (Writing/Directin). After moving into fiction, Michael has completed the screenplays for the feature films Formula, The Girl from Wereldend, and The Black Widow Society and is currently working on four other commissioned literary adaptations. He was Head Writer for Single Mothers, a miniseries for Mzansi Magic, based on his concept.
