Personal Assistant 

Reporting to:     Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

To provide efficient and effective administrative support to the Chief Financial Officer and the Finance Department.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Diploma / Degree in Business Administration
  • 3 – 5 years secretarial/administrative experience

  • Planning and organising

Key Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Provide full, efficient support relating to day to day running of the CFO's office
  • Perform sectretarial functions for the CFO
    • Accurately type and manage all correspondence
    • Organise and coordinate various administrative tasks and errands for the CFO
    • Maintain an accurate and updated filing management system tasks
  • Arrange all travel for the Finance Department

Events Manager

Reporting to:      Head: Industry Development and Promotions

To manage and coordinate planned events and activations for the NFVF in the development and promotion of the film and video industry.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Degree in Marketing / Event Management
  • 5 – 8 year’s experience in marketing and events management and planning
  • 2 years managerial experience

Requirements:

Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the following:

  • Implement the Events Strategy by determining events to be implemented
  • Manage the development and implementation of project and activation plans as well as project budgets
  • Manage the coordination of events in order to market South African content
  • A developed understanding of the film industry
  • A good understanding of production budgets, finance plans, and schedules
  • An ability to lead a team of people in achieving institutional goals
  • Delivering all job-related tasks timeously and to a high standard of quality
  • Willingness to travel locally and abroad

Supply Chain Manager

Reporting to:     Chief Financial Officer

To provide a framework for supply chain management in order to ensure the appropriate implementation of supply chain procedures in accordance with legislation and Treasury Regulation.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Degree in Procurement or Logistics and Supply Chain or equivalent
  • 5-8 years experience in Procurement and Supply Chain
  • 1 year experience in a managerial position
  • Knowledge of Government Regulatory Framework advantageous e.g. PFMA, PPPFA, BBBEE, Preferential Procurement, POPI, PAIA
  • Experience in government supply chain processes an added advantage

Finance Manager

Reporting to:     Chief Financial Officer

To provide accurate financial information and manage financial systems in accordance with generally recognized accounting practices (GRAP).

Qualification & Experience:

  • Degree in Accounting - BCom
  • 5-8 years experience in Finance or Accounting
  • Public Sector Experience and SCM experience an added advantage

  • Financial accounting principles and regulations i.e. PFMA, GRAP
  • Knowledge of Organisational Legislation, Policy and Procedures

Key Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Prepare financial reports for submission to NFVF Council, DAC and Treasury to ensure financial information is reliable, efficient and effective
  • Maintain effective financial internal control through a risk assessment workshop, ensuring NFVF has mitigating controls to avert risks identified
  • Monitor compliance to ensure  that operations are in line with Treasury regulation and PFMA requirements
  • Accurately load all payroll payments from the payroll report for payment of salaries to staff
  • Manage accounts receivable and payable to ensure funds are received and paid timeously, and to comply with Treasury regulation and budgetary requirements
  • Ensure asset management is correctly classified and recorded in line with GRAP standards and Treasury regulations to ensure safeguard of assets
  • Manage staff to ensure the finance department delivers on their mandate to the NFVF and all stakeholders

Finance Officer

Reporting to:     Chief Financial Officer

To provide accurate financial service support in line with the National Treasury regulations PFMA Act, PPPFA regulation and generally recognizes accounting practices (GRAP) to ensure the optimal functioning of the NFVF finance department.

Qualification & Experience:

  • National Diploma in Accounting / Finance or similar
  • 2-5 years experience in Finance or Accounting
  • Public Sector Experience and SCM experience an added advantage

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Financial accounting principles and regulations i.e. PFMA, GRAP
  • Knowledge of Organisational Legislation, Policy, and Procedures

  • Process bookkeeping of all financial transactions in order to produce accurate accounting reports for submission to Council, DAC and Treasury
  • Perform financial administration as per finance policies and procedures to ensure financial information is reliable, efficient and effective
