The National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF), an agency of the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture is calling for public screening proposals in celebration of South Africa’s “30 Years of Democracy”. The screening can be outdoor, indoor, and or drive–in format. The funding cap for these screenings is R150 000.00 for one to three film screenings.

These screenings, which should be implemented between September and December 2024, are intended to support the ongoing efforts of driving the recovery of the industry through screenings that will provide entertainment through the distribution of content and provide filmmakers and entrepreneurs with an opportunity to create jobs while developing audience appreciation of the works accomplished by the film industry.
