CALL TO PARTICIPATE IN THE NFVF’S SKILLS TRANSFER PROGRAMME
The National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF), an agency of the Department of Sports, Arts and Culture (DSAC), invites Gauteng based, final year students, to apply to work with an NFVF appointed Video and Photography Company, for a period of five (5) days at the 2019 Heritage Education Schools Outreach Programme (HESOP) from the 23 – 27 September 2019. Three (3) successful students will be working with the appointed company to get practical experience behind the camera.
HESOP is an annual event, hosted in partnership with the National Heritage Council (NHC), Department of Basic Education (DBE), South African National Parks (SANParks) and Brand South Africa. It aims to create awareness around heritage and culture within the school curriculum. The programme takes on the format of a week-long school camp targeted at high school learners from different Districts at a Provincial level.
National Parks and their heritage sites around South Africa play host to the camp annually. This year, Bela Bela Forever Resort in Limpopo will host the camp from the 23rd – 27th of September 2019.
Mandatory requirements:
- Certified copy of South African Identity document (Valid for 3 months)
- Proof of tertiary registration (2019) at an accredited tertiary institution within South Africa
- Applicant must be final year student
- One-page motivation letter (stating why you chose to be in the film industry and what you hope to achieve from this opportunity)
This opportunity will include travelling to and from Limpopo Province (Bela Bela Forever Resort), accommodation, and daily allowance from the 23 – 27th September 2019.
