CALL TO PARTICIPATE IN THE NFVF’S SKILLS TRANSFER PROGRAMME
The National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF), an agency of the Department of Sports, Arts and Culture invites Gauteng Province or Limpopo Province based final year students, who are studying Film and Television related courses at accredited tertiary institutions to apply for the NFVF’s Skills Transfer Programme.
The programme will take place at the Limpopo International Film Festival (LIFF). Five (5) successful students will be working with professionals to get practical experience behind the camera.
LIFF is a 100% black-owned initiative offering an opportunity for people that would like to get into the film industry and those who are already in the industry. The festivals programme combines information sharing sessions which include workshops, masterclasses and career days. The festival takes place in Polokwane from 2-5 December 2019. The theme for 2019 is “Limpopo Stories need to be told”.
Mandatory requirements:
- Certified copy of South African Identity document (Valid for 3 months)
- Proof of tertiary registration (2019) at an accredited tertiary institution within South Africa
- The applicant must be a final year student
- One-page motivation letter (stating why you chose to be in the film industry and what you hope to achieve from this opportunity)
This opportunity will include travelling to and from Gauteng to Polokwane as well as accommodation. A daily allowance will be given from the 2nd to the 5th of December 2019.
