The National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF) is calling for applications from South African film and television filmmakers to be part of the NFVF’s delegates at the Series Mania Forum which will take place from 21- 28 March 2025 in Lille (France).
Series Mania was created in April 2010, becoming the first international festival to celebrate the latest and most innovative work in television series. Our previous editions gathered up to 80,000 spectators to meet with over 400 artists and screened French and world premieres of over 70 television series from around the world on full-size movie-theater screens. Alongside the festival, the Series Mania Forum, the professional arm of the festival Series Mania, brings together 4,000 international television industry leaders and talents in a three-day program of conferences, keynote addresses and pitching platforms.
Opening date for submissions: 13th December 2024
Closing date for submissions: 17th January 2025
Applications must include the following:
- A motivation to attend the festival that details how your attendance will assist your project(s) and future co-production prospects
- Number and summary of television slate projects currently working on
- Proof of copyright of the projects
- Co-production agreement in case of co-production
- Industry profile detailing experience and projects involved in
- Company profile
- The call is open to all South African citizens with television projects looking for completion funding, co-producers, distributors, or a combination of these
- Invitation is only open to Tier 1 & 2 filmmakers
