The NFVF extends condolences to the family, friends and fans of SAFTAs award-winning actress, Mary Twala
The National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF), an agency of the Department of Sports, Arts and Culture, and custodian of the South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTAs) isdeeply saddened by the passing of Legendary award-winning actress, Mary Twala.
Twala was recognised for excellence in her craft and was awarded a Golden Horn Award at the 7th Annual South African Film and Television Awards for Lifetime Achievement and won a Golden Horn for best actress in a TV comedy for the show Skwizas in 2015.
She will be remembered for her wealth of knowledge, her dedication to her craft and the amazing characters she has made us part of.
